Gourd with Squirrel

This is a really big gourd that I have woodburned a squirrel on and added a hint of color to. Both sides have the same design and along the sides I have added pine cone scales. That was quite a job. First I had to take the scales off the pine cones and then glued them on one at a time.

Not found in stores this unusual gourd is sure to bring delight and pleasure to it's owner and a source of conversation for visitors.

This gourd is protected with 3 coats of gloss sealer.

Stands 13½" tall and is about 9½" wide at the widest part.
